I NEED A CAUSE
(c) 6/98, Todd Silva

I kept on doin' the same things day in and day out
Just another routine like the ones before
But I've a feeling alive inside
That life is bigger than this
And I've a knowing that burns real bright
That there is so much more

Now, I need a cause, something to stand for
Something that I can champion, along the way
'Cause my life was dull, it needed some meaning
I've wanted to stand for something more, everyday

	What could it be?
	What could I do?

There must be gifts that I can share, that I can bring
To lend my heart and lift the world a little higher
Something unique to express my soul
And really come alive
Now that's a challenge that calls to me
And sets my soul on fire

I need a cause, something to fight for
Something that I can champion, along the way
'Cause my light was dull, it needed to shine more
I've wanted to stand for something more, everyday

	Now, how 'bout you?
	What could you do?

Now, if you're not likin' what you see
And want to change it all
It's up to people like you and me
		Just listen for your call

Do you want a cause, something to live for
Something to champion, my friend, along the way
Will you follow the crowd, or will you give your life meaning
Now go out and stand for something more, everyday

	For me that's truth
	For me that's love
